OVERHEADS, SOUND AND LIGHTING CHECKLIST
30mins or so before service
Check “YYYYMMDD am/pm” Easy Worship setlist against Praise team setlist
See www.soulsharbourchurchofgod.com/setlist or see praise leader
Add/remove songs as required – in theory the praise team leader will have loaded up a setlist in advance. If you are really keen you can step through the words to make sure they match what will be sung (they often don’t!) and correct the Easy Worship song file.
Get USB flash drive (for audio of service) from person responsible for CD production.
15mins before service
Ask sound guy to start fill music playing low volume (Patrick will supply a CD for each month)
Recessed ceiling lighting on medium
Stage PAR floodlight cans on (switch on plug strip behind RH chairs on stage)
Stage chandeliers off
Cross light on (CB in nursery)
Lobby lights on (if it’s dark or will get dark outside)
Aisle lights off
House fluorescents off (if they are on)
Screen down
Start Easy Worship
Start projecting current set announcements loop
5mins before service
Check video camera(s) is/are recording (see Patrick if not)
Check ProTracks is recording (see Patrick if not)
1 min before service
Get ready to fade fill music
When pastor switches on his mic:
Ask sound guy to fade fill music to zero (try to keep “dead air” time to zero)
FOH spots on full
Set Easy Worship to black background
For each song – click through words
After last song Fade up recessed lighting to 100%
At Altar call
Gently slow-fade recessed ceiling lighting to medium - aim is to get to a nice un-intimidating environment
Ask sound guy to check keyboard and drums (and anyone else who is playing during the call) aren’t muted.
After Altar call
Fade up recessed lighting to full – leave fluorescent lights off.
Fade up current fill music CD or MP3s to about 50%
